Jenjum Gadi is one of the most talented, and innovative fashion designers of the Indian fashion industry. Jenjum was born in a small village of Tirbin in Arunachal Pradesh, and this is why he is well celebrated across the country as an Indian fashion designer with a unique perspective. He graduated in design from Wigan and Leigh College Delhi. Not many are familiar with this story but famous fashion designer Rohit Bal got so impressed by his collection in college that he offered Jenjum an opportunity to work with his label. Jenjum’s main motive is to rework and recreate the existing fashion into the extraordinary with the touch of North-Eastern influence. The Indian fashion designer launched his label "JenjumGadi” in the year 2013. The label “JenjumGadi" is well celebrated for its young and fresh designs using tribal colors, motif, and art and culture. Apart from this the label showcases conceptual innovative embroidery, delicate texturing, and mixing of fabrics, along with various stitching techniques and draping forms. Jenjum’s interview aptly represented his specialty, which is an ability to rework and recreate the existing fashion into the extraordinary. The fashion designer belongs to Malhausi, a small village located near Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh. Rahul graduated from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, in 2005 and was honored as the Best Student Designer of The Year. There was no looking back then, Rahul became the first Indian designer to win a scholarship to Milan's Istituto Marangoni. The fashion designer's perspective towards fashion is deeply rooted in his respect for the materials, the sustainability of his production lines, and the preservation of the country's traditional craftsmanship and its craftsmen. The designer made his debut in 2006 at the Lakme Fashion Week showcasing a collection using cotton handloom from Kerala. Over the years the designer is widely celebrated across the fashion industry for incorporating traditional Indian textiles and handmade artisanship to his work.
